| Description: |
Conducts IT and integrated audits under the direction of the IT Audit Manager. Plans and executes audits to ensure efficient use of resources. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and the efficiency of operations by performing the following activities. Plans and monitors the progress of audit projects and provides appropriate direction and leadership in completing the project according to department standards. Recommends revisions to audit policies, procedures, and programs. Conducts interviews of selected personnel for the purpose of documenting and evaluating processes to determine the adequacy of internal controls. Develops audit test programs and completes audit tests to determine the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with regulations. Prepares and/or reviews internal audit reports of findings and recommendations for delivery to management. Leads meetings with clients for the purpose of presenting audit findings and recommendations. Participates in system development activities on a company wide basis. Assists the department in the use of computer assisted audit techniques. Maintains a program of continuing professional education. Performs travel necessary to complete activities. Applicants must have a strong information systems auditing background to conduct audits of our diverse technology infrastructure. In this senior level position you will conduct a variety of value added reviews including system development audits, integrated reviews of business processes and applications, core IT process reviews, and technical reviews of supporting technologies.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of IT Audit or related experience, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field. Professional certification is required. Must possess good communication skills, be adept at building client relationships, and work well both in a team or alone. You should also have experience performing audits within the following environments: Windows, UNIX, and traditional mainframe. A background and understanding of the risks and controls in technologies such as client /server, open systems architecture, data warehousing, imaging, and the Internet is desirable. Experience within the financial services industry, and an advanced degree are preferred. |
