| Description: |
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide desktop hardware and software support to internal customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Following established standards and procedures, install, configure, change and move workstations and workstation software. - Provide Level 2 workstation hardware and software support, meeting established Service - Levels and escalating problems to Level 3 support as needed. - Provide user guidance on the use of workstations, software and the E*Trade network. - Provide guidance and assistance to the Help Desk. - Manage ongoing hardware requirements (workstations, printers, peripherals) - Assume additional responsibilities as required.
Special Requirements
- 3 years experience with Win2000/XP and related Administrative Tools. - 3 years experience supporting desktops at an organization of 200+ employees. - 3 years experience with Office 97/2000/XP and Outlook/Exchange 2000 - Experience in cloning PC’s/Notebooks using Drive Image - Knowledge of TCP/IP and general networking concepts. - Knowledge of Terminal Services, RAS, some server concepts. - Good written and verbal communications skills. - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Education:
BS or AS Degree in Computer Science
Other Information:
The candidate must be flexible regarding work hours. There is a requirement that the associate be willing to stay late on occasion to meet deadlines.
The position is that of a salaried, full-time employee. The candidate must be able to accommodate an easy commute to Wilton, CT.
